課程概述

This course provides a thorough and detailed discussion in case system and its related linguistic issues including semantic frame, discourse information structure, and transitivity. After probing into different theoretical approaches of case systems, we will turn to the review of previous studies in the case-marking systems of Formosan languages. The models and theoretical grounds in these previous works will be discussed and carefully re-examined. The final mark of this course is to provide an explanation toward the complex interactions of the case-marking system in Vedai Rukai in naturalistic data.
